Chrollo had massive prep for that fight while Hisoka was hanging out with Illumi and checking out the Zodiacs during the election. Not to mention that last chapter implies that Hisoka didn't choose the location. He fought on Chrollo's terms. The whole purpose of the fight felt like it was Chrollo's last time to shine as the Troupe has little chance to survive this arc.
In a 1v1 with no prep, Hisoka vs Chrollo would be much closer, and it would be much harder for Chrollo to avoid getting in meele range now that Hisoka can use his leg as a springboard to move at sanic speeds.
