The part that I'm still having trouble getting my head around is that, for the first half while it was airing there were constant slainefag v inahofag shitposting as to who was the REAL main character, and at the time it was just shitposting. Then second season came and they actually made Slaine the permanent MC and Inaho a soulless plot device.

Insignificant in the grand scheme of things mecha franchise that seemed to equate spamming some names from recent hits at people with being able to slot in their with the likes of Gundam with only 24 episodes and a slipshod plot that probably could have even been done in half the time for how it refused to expand on anything that should matter. It's the series that single handedly convinced me how out of touch the industry is and where it's priorities really lie.

It's probably going to be Qualedia Code or however you spell it this coming season. Aniplex seems to have inherited the guaranteed massively overhyped original trainwreck mantle except their shows aren't even the fun kind of trainwreck, just kind of annoying and pretentious since they carry themselves like they are the absolute greatest goddamn strokes of inspiration and quality to grace the scene in their given seasons. Again Aldnoah.Zero was created and marketed as a modern alternative to Gundam and look at what it came out with. Just think about that.
