I think everyone knows Steins;Gate is the best anime/VN time travel story, I've never heard anyone say Re:Zero is better or the best.
I somewhat hate that Steins;Gate spawned all these time travel stories because nothing has yet to even touch it in terms of quality. Add in the whole "stuck in a fantasy world" thing and it's a rather cliche anime. But I think the one thing it does right are the characters and definitely the fantasy elements. At least the darker feeling to it adds a bit more uniqueness to the show.
As for the fans of the show, just ignore that. Normalfags are watching it even more now so it's to be expected you'll get some retards.

I'm not really sure why anyone uses this as a criticism for any story. I they've seen someone criticize a story for not having a credible threat level in it, and take the wrong thing away from it. Re: Zero has plenty of credible threats, we watch not because we think Subaru might die for good, but because we want to see how he figures out how to make it out of these shit, dead end situations. So yes, the story does have tension, because viewers unfamiliar with the source material never know when something is about to go horribly wrong, and we're set back to square one.

Extremely strong, shown to beat 3 people in a fight and break people's arms. That's not normal. Sure he can use a spell, but the fight with the disemboweler, he seems he was only hesitant fighting her physically because she had a knife and killed him in a past life.

It doesn't make sense she had a complex all this time to her sister, she was better than her in almost every way as we can clearly see by Subaru's dialogue, besides powers, but in which her sister lost anyway and needs mana, so what does it matter? It only made sense she had it as a child this complex. And we only see this backstory the last episode in which the arc was ending on. Rem is fine as a character but thats all she is. It took ever so long to display any bit of emotion besides, "RAMU, RAMU". It would have been nice to see her change, rather than been 'shown'.

He doesn't change at all from these deaths and the only time we did see it was in the scene with emilia and him crying. It was nice because I saw him finally being affected from this curse, because more often than not, it's practically a gift, being able to redo it all again. It doesn't feel like anything is at stake because nothing bad happened to him at all. He solved it fairly quickly and didn't get any hangups from it.

Plot in which nothing happened and just reset from random deaths. It was incredibly slow to show all scenarios and conversations that were just plain average dialogue that didn't flesh out anyone, because the backstory did it for them, in revealing her 'true intentions'.

They say in episode one "I hope a cute girl saves me", he proceeds to get said cute girl saving him, he says "I hope I get strong and special powers". He proceeds to beat up guys and get shadow power that helps him later on in the story. He says in the mansion "I thought you were going to be secretly evil", then the maids end up being technically evil aka demons. It's not clever and plainly just fucking irritating to constantly listen to. I get it, you've seen SAO, write an actual story now.

The connections with the maids were like him just hanging out with them peeling fucking potatoes then he died. With Emilia it makes more sense, because they spent the day together, being friendly, but with the maids, they're more distant with Subaru and legit hate him at times.

While I can sympathize with feeling he's capable of too much, it's relative for me. I mention anime physics before, so what Subaru is capable of relative to everyone else is very little. His lack of fear is a contestable point, as I think the anime has done a very good job of showing the audience why Subaru wouldn't want to die again. It sets his relationships back, and it's painful nearly every time. Still, it makes sense for him to eventually throw everything to the wind given what we know about his character. He desperately wants something substantial and worth living for after feeling like a pathetic loser for a good portion of his life. While I would admire the direction more if Subaru were completely useless outside of short situational bursts that require him having the surprise on his side, I can forgive him being strong enough to hold his own so they don't have him hide for every fight.

Rem's feelings are irrational and entirely motivated by guilt. What you're saying is pretty much exactly what Subaru says to her for her to finally get over it and move on. People fault this show for lack of subtly, and while that's true, it's funny that Subaru's developing friendship with Ram and Rem is mostly gleaned over. It's pretty organic with each loop having him learn more about them, and each time they shed a little more of the RAMU RAMU that you hate. From something as little as a smile to a greater willingness to make less scathing remarks when joking with Subaru.

There's no doubt that Subaru isn't going to find a way out eventually, that's just the nature of the show. Despite what it's more fervent fans say, it's not that hard on the DESPAIR hardness scale. Much of Subaru's stupid antics are him just bullshitting. Among Re:Zero's attempts at being subversive, which I think you pointed out quite well later in your post, this is probably the one they do the best. He's using his overreactions as a coping mechanism and a form of deflection, hoping it will charm people enough to ignore what stupid loser he thinks he is. They dedicated an entire episode to him diving fully into this persona as a coping mechanism for his many deaths, and the death he felt was impending with all things he felt he had done wrong. The scene with Emilia at the end isn't a quick resolution, it's the culmination of 4 or so episodes worth of building anxiety.

Each part was important to building Subaru's understanding of where he is, who he's with, what went wrong, and finally how he learns to cope with his abilities in a way the first three episodes didn't show. First part establishes what Subaru wants ideally, and then builds intrigue with the ending. Then the next focuses on his relationship with Rem and more of his day-to-day tasks that end up being relevant later. Then Ram. Then PTSD. Then getting his shit together. Then solving the problem for the next 3 or so.
