You fucking kidding me? Mainstream has corrupted your mind.
It targeted a demographic that's been dominated by the big 3 for years, and had elements in it that weren't palpable to a mainstream audience, not to mention the source material is words without pictures.
Personally, I think it's OKish and dropped it somewhere midway through season 1, just not my style, but these are the reasons I think it hasn't gained the traction its fans seem to think it deserves.

Mismanagement, whoever was in charge of it chose the wrong time to announce heavy object and it looks like that may have killed chances of future Kamachi adaptions, J.C staff will be pretty busy between Soma, Prison School and Danmachi adaptions putting out HO when they have a lot of other series in the works means nothing is coming from Kamachi for another year or so if at all considering how late it's gotten.
