See, although now we know a bit more about the experiment, that doesn't mean that it will go any further than it already has. The story's wrapping up and it will all end in 2 episodes. That's just enough time to create closure for the characters & wrap up their individual stories. Not enough time to make the Kizna experiment any more relevant. Basically, instead of focusing on the experiment itself and how it may be used on society it became a mere tool which was used to connect these people and tell their stories.
Yes, and growing and changing will be determined by who they end up with, if anyone at all, and how that will affect them. Is your point that this is something unique and never done before, or that in this show it's done reasonably well? Please. Some characters are blatant filler, and others don't have nearly enough exposure to be interesting. Compare what we know about Niko's past to Katsuhira's & Honoka's. Not all that much. Yet Niko is now completely head over heels over Tenga, while he's obsessed with Chidori in these few months that they've been together. In fact, these feelings became so strong to warrant that scene in episode 9. I call that forced. Whereas I understand that Chidori has a past with Katsuhira which makes her pain more believable and realistic. See how Niko tried to be strong and get over her rejection, yet Chidori still can't manage that? Was that whole "we can't be friends" bit even necessary if it became completely irrelevant in the next episode? Call it part of growing up, I call it a waste of time.

It was made pretty clear she's sedated to the point of utter numbness like Kacchon. Which is exactly what makes him realize how terrible his and her own distanced numb state is, as it's the first time he can directly sympathize with a person. He completely failed to reciprocate any level of feeling and emotion in the Chidori incident, and so he knows just how hard it must be for Nori as well, to live her entire life like that. When he meets the broken Kizuna-children, and his memories come flooding back, he feels something for the first time in a long time (hence the brute cries of pain - he doesn't know how to cry).

Killing one of them would presumably kill everyone in the network based on the original premise, since Kats supposedly survived his lethal injuries because both pain and damage were spread around. However, we didn't know about Nori at the time and as the show went on it seemed more and more like only the sensation was shared, until they do a complete U-turn and explain that it really is just the sensation.
Not really sure at this point. I don't think the plot hole matters much, since the whole point was to share emotions and thoughts, but it is still a problem.

Alright, here's the most detailed explanation I can come up with.
Chidori, who is romantically interested in Kacchon, saw him genuinely hugging Noriko in a heartfelt way.
Emotionally hurt, she fleed the scene. Kacchon was obliged to chase her by Tenga. Despite Chidori was indeed thinking "please hug me", she wanted him to hug her in an equally genuine, heartfelt way.
Kacchon, like the autist he is, doesn't think twice and just hugs her out of pity, simply because she wanted him to, but does so without any emotional value, it's a simple physical gesture he does because he literally has no idea what to do.
This of course does not have a positive effect on Chidori, hence why he deems him "cruel". She thinks his hug is but a mockery of the one he gave Noriko, which was instead deeply felt, and that she isn't worthy of an equally emotionally invested hug.
