I'd say it's less generic than usual actually. The average battles are on par with anything else in the genre and it shows a few peak moments mostly relating to Emilia's UBW. Average with a few higher quality points is what describes Hundred best.
Although there are also some episodes that are pretty much devoid of enjoyable qualities. This was the case for the last episode which is part of the reason that there hasn't been much chatter about the show compared to the last two weeks.

Eh, they really just don't put as much effort in for most of it. Claire's fight against the hunter trio in the rain could have been really great. Limit her to close range blasts because the rain disperses beams or some bullshit, so it becomes an agility battle for the hunters to surround and approach her without being caught in front of a cannon. Instead it was pretty much just an "I'm behind you" smackdown that completely crushed the tension that had been established by her dramatic declaration (at the end of an episode where she stated her motivations and ideals) before the on set of the rain. It was really a good set up. Her first shot had proved that she's capable of fighting on their level, and then the rain started so that the audience knew there was a definite handicap as well. The episode had given the audience reason to care about her as a character beyond giant tits, so it was almost like winning mattered and she might be in danger facing three enemies alone. But all of that got thrown out the window for a shitty action scene that was ended almost immediately by reinforcements arriving. Then Emilia's beatdown on that loli was the only thing of note. Although, I actually liked the scene where the MC dashed over to catch sharkteeth kid. That was at least at the "acceptable" tier.
This festival episode was so fucking boring though. Let there be peace between the DFC and Oppai clans so that the true menace of idolshit can be removed.
