It's horrible. It's one of the worst anime I've ever sat through, because it's bad but after the first 6 episodes it's not even laughably bad. The main character shoots a guy for trying to kill a known assassin, stabs a guy for disagreeing with him after he literally overthrows his unit, and freaked out over being punished for deserting his group and getting them all killed.
And yet, having done all this, the girl who killed her brother in a fair fight is the one who is edgy and evil for some reason. The plot meanders, deaths are done to try to add some kind of emotional value to scenes, and motivations change with basically no reason on a regular basis.
The only good part of the whole show is when Tina, a highly talented sniper, decides to attack said edgy girl, who is in a room with multiple windows, with a gatling gun she somehow hid under her dress.

I'm not sure it was made clear in the show but IIRC the Stage 5 that was summoned by the tricycle already existed ten years prior to that and had been given a codename (Scorpion) by the US military, along with the other ten Stage 5 gastrea that participated in the near extinction event ten years previous (two of which had been killed before the show starts)
