It's too late now but it has been found to be a problem in the time since they were built. The long straight roads have a tendency to almost hypnotize drivers on long distance trips.

Low RPM driving is a fun thing in its own right, requires a pretty different mindset from what you usually do.
Too bad I only use it when I'm low on fuel and want to save every drop, it's not really healthy for the engine in the long run.

You can do that, if you don't move from 2nd gear, you can drive 400 miles in 2nd gear, it's just not very economical.
