I understand that this is supposed to be a MOE gag anime. But with this amount of exposition at the beginning and the fact that they are half dragons, is it that inconceivable that anybody expected some kind of story?

I'm simply pointing out that it should have been pretty obvious that a larger focus on the story wouldn't have helped the show. The last episode was probably the worst one outside of the beach after all. It mostly shined in the comedy and moe department.

That's true. The last episode left me so betrayed. You altered my opinion about this anime a bit I guess. The comedic value of Kana Hanazawa (syrup) definitely helped the jokes hit the mark each time.
