The dark continent has a low amount of rukh from what I recall from the Hainbaba/Judar adventures. Judar became weak because he had never trained the magoi within his body (like a regular magician). Yunan probably mainly relied on the magoi in his body during the fight.

I didn't particularly paid attention to them, although the hints have been there since chapter 25 (kinda)
It became more obvious later on especially after Hakuryuu got Zagan but I would have never imagined I would like them as a pairing till edge happened.
I think at first what attracted me was how these two had this past connected to Arba and how much it fucked them up both in their own way. Then you have Judar paying so much attention to Hakuryuu and wanting him by his side, not to mention calling him "my King" so fast. It was obvious till the end, that Judar cared a lot and I still believe he won't really mind Hakuryuu's white rukh but you never know.

This is probably my favorite part about their relationship. Haku hated him for years, then allied with Judar only very reluctantly all the while intending to use him but in the end, Judar wormed his way into his heart and Hakuryuu only noticed when it seemed like it was too late.
