Play the game instead then, it'll make sense out of the last few arcs a lot more than the anime did. Also the anime botched the last few scenes pretty badly.

I'd like to say the sequel was any better, but the anime botched that as well.

Nah the endings fine. Itsuwari no Kamen had the worst fucking ending because of how of a cliffhanger it is.
