Is any good?
Yeah. I think it hits a decline after the Dinosaur match but it's been a while since I read that far.

Yeah
Watch it and find out.

There is not enough doujins with Taki.

one of the best nekketsu out there
if you expect something unique and genre-defying go somewhere else
not saying that eyeshield is unoriginal though, it's just at the peak of its genre thanks to based murata

Only if you read the manga.

Great until the very last chapter.
Fuck that ending.

>watch it
Get the fuck out.
Anime was abysmal
It's very good, but last arc is a bit disappointing and extra arc is shit

The Christmas Bowl fucking sucks and the World tournament is missing the point.

All those cheerleader porn it got for a time was fapworthy.
It gets a bit long-winded in the end, or rather, overstays its welcome? Regardless, I think it's probably one of the best sports manga around, assuming you don't count mahjong manga as sports manga, but I'm biased as fuck towards mahjong manga so.
Fuckin' killer art but I mean it's Murata, what do you expect?

Christmas Bowl was fucking great, it's the very last arc that sucks. But you can pretend it didn't happen.

>It gets a bit long-winded in the end, or rather, overstays its welcome?
It peaked early at the Naga match (which was so good because of so many things being executed perfectly) then the rest of the tournament got less and less impressive with each match, then the most one match with the biggest amount of build up, the X-mas bowl, ends up being less than half assed, every single aspect of it screams lazy. Then for some reason they pushed for an additional arc that just misses what made up the core of the manga for 30+ volumes despite being better than the X-mas bowl.

I think this happens more often than not in shounen manga because when a series is at its peak, it's gonna sell well, so the magazine wants them to keep it on for longer, and the author already peaked, so it gets worse, so the sales go down, so it eventually just peters out.
Which is a shame, because ideally you'd like a long-running series to end on a high note. Look at something like Ippo, which is basically just going through the motions at this point. It takes someone who really likes the subject matter (see: gosho aoyama) to keep something going that long without a markedly noticeable dip in passion.
There's no way the series could have topped the final Devilbats-Knights game.
I loved how pretty much every character gets well developed, even the seemingly filler ones
The manga >>>>>>>>>> anime.
Beautiful Murata art or crap tier animation? I'll go with the former everytime.
