There's more stuff to do after the dragon, I'd say saving the sister is "chapter 1" in a story that could have easily 10+ "chapters" or arcs.
What about the dungeon itself, the stuff about elves and dwarfs claiming the dungeon, the orcs inside, the magician, everyone's backstory, etc.
It could go for a long time, but I guess the author is structuring it in a way that if it gets cancelled or needs to be ended, it can be done so at any point where there's a small conclusion.

Laius will eat the dragon and become the new apex predator in the dungeon. His friends escape and more and more people enter the dungeon hoping that they would defeat Laius and lay claim upon the dungeon's treasures. The first few were unprepared, thinking Laius was but a normal human. But as Laius kills and consumes he becomes stronger and hungrier. He begins creating new breeds of monsters to satisfy his appetite. The dungeon becomes ever darker.

I always take it case by case, since every author has it's own interpretation.
Of course this one is fantastic because of how the author treats the lore in two levels.
They have their own universe, set on some sort of high fantasy world, but at the same time, their universe is a less idealized version of one we would think of... BUT in their universe, their idealization is the same as ours.
Dumb example, when Marcille pictures herself all beautiful she sees herself with pointy ears and shit.
So I guess I didn't say anything in the end besides the fact that I consider this interesting and that Elves might have an extended lifespan and other common elf attributes but not as exaggerated as we would expect from a high fantasy setting.

Marcille was roughly the same SIZE as Farlyn a few years ago, so they at least mature at the same rate...for a time. It's unclear how old Marcille actually is, but considering how I think it'd be fucking weird if she was ancient when she looked younger, then weirdly had a growth spurt after she met Farlyn, I actually get the feeling she's pretty fucking young (possibly younger than Chilchack) and was only mocking Chilchack because from an Elven perspective, Chilchack IS young. She does act prideful and haughty when she has no right to several other times, so that's what I'm going with.
