Alright, someone needs to explain this shit to me. With the exception of Rebellion I haven't seen even a smidgen of subtext between Kyouko and Sayaka.
They're enemies from the very start and try to kill each other constantly. All they do is fight. And none of that "but in the end they respect each others strength and became rivals" sorta shit, they just want to murder each other.
And like, the only time they stop trying to beat each other senseless is when Sayaka goes witch and Kyouko tries to fix it.
They seemed to not hate each other in other timelines and they only just became friends in the final timeline. They don't especially get along in the spin off manga either.

I say this without exaggeration, Mami is the most complex character portrayed through subtlety that I've ever seen in fiction. If you make no effort to dissect her, she'll come across as incredibly flat, having only been around for 3 episodes. But, if you do dissect her, you'll find an untold story of genuine tragedy. The show doesn't tell you directly to your face, which is a bit of a shame because some people miss out on it, but I think it adds to her character, since she's actually quite secretive (and deceptive).
