Is Dirty Pair worth watching?
Is Flash any good?
Does Flash only get shat on because it's a reboot?

YES
YES
YES
And the comics are very cool for the most part too.

Thematically it's aged remarkably well for an 80s show--both girls come off as very worldly and genre savvy, and the show is shockingly forward-looking on some topics--and the TV animation is okay (OVA animation better).
Flash steers much more towards the success stories of the 1990s--Kei and Yuri have a much harder time of syncing their partnership, there are pseudo-transformation sequences, the character artwork is a lot more stylized compared to the original.
Give the TV series or OVA a try. Or flash if your interested. You'll generally find out very quickly in any form whether you like it or not.
>you were alive when the golden age of anime in the 90's was a thing
feels good

so was I, but do you remember it?

>shockingly forward-looking
One person out of ten is a trannie in the original TV series.
Let's hope it wasn't TOO forward-thinking.

Born in 87, so it's a bit weird.
With the rare exception of stuff on telly (no sky, so only 5 channels), and I only got 'into' anime at the very start of Highschool, so a lot of my experiences were of 90's/early 00 stuff.
I remember watching all the trailers on the Evangelion DVDS and getting hype as fuck for other stuff.

Oh, well i remember watching reruns of Saint Seiya, DBZ, Hokuto no Ken, and a few older series like Mazinger Z, Captain Tsubasa and Ulysses 31.
We got reruns of 80s series up until the early 2000s in France.
And I have a vague recollection of watching parts of Genocyber as a kid.

You remember Burn-Up Warrior (and hopefully it's better sequel, Burn-Up Excess).
That's something.
>>142479764
W and Excess are, to me, the best examples of good 90's stuff.
Catchy OP, decent animation, fun and fitting dub, that near-future setting Japan loved back then.
Why is she so perfect?
the original Burn-Up is still better.

I always expected /a/ to prefer Yuri.
Good to see that some of you still have good taste.
>>142480889
If she was in pretty much any other series Yuri would be toppest of top tiers but Kei manages to outshine her.
Is there any reason to watch The Original Dirty Pair and Flight 005 conspiracy if I didn't liked the series, but liked the movie and Nolandia Affair?

If by Original Dirty Pair you mean the OVA, you might like it more.
It's better than the series in every way.
>>142481370
Yes, I mean 10 episode OVA
