TV is superior to Movie
Movie went full edge at times and although episode 4 was a piece of shit from an animation perspective it establishes that the number of combining entities wasn't the point.
Movie also ruined some of the pacing. For instance; past Kamina's death till the reaching of the capital.

Personally I have two problems with movie:
1) the voices (and I mean the Japanese voices, before I'm stoned to death) sound forced as fuck to me. Too much emphasis make them feel artificial. Word for word, the same things said in the tv series and in the movie are said slower and heavier in the movie, and for me it sounds like they were going for "It's a movie so it has to sound more epic" but it falls into hammish in scenes that are supposed to be dramatic. Case in point, Lordgenome when he blocks Infinity Big Bang Storm.
2)The music is just as good, but the TV series uses it much better and the scenes aren't synced as well as they are there, in the movie.
