An opportunity appears if Hisoka survives the explosion; we see that Chrollo has lost many of his puppets in that explosion and that the crowd has thinned out from the start of the fight, so his ability to easily mix with the crowd and create puppets has weaken; although, Hisoka is not in a good condition to take advantage of this weakness.
Hisoka could also use his Texture ability to make one of the exploded puppet remains look like himself, even if Chrollo doesn't get close to confirm this (why would he when he can remotely have it bombed) it could catch his attention long enough for Hisoka to pull something.

I was never a clownfag but I did like his nen. Only flaw I found with it was that they for some reason had the need to stress how "adaptable" his nen was despite it being extremely simple and to be honest fairly weak. Its one of the reasons why Hisoka lost this fight with Chrollo (just guessing) since the edgelord had an arguably strong power compared to Hisoka.

That's where you don't get it, just because it's manipulation doesn't mean it's impossible to do for an Enhancer. The manipulation has to be quite simple, and it is in Netero's case. He only has 100 predetermined moves/hands that he can use. It's has to be way less dificult nen wise than manipulate it with complete freedom.

Not really in this battle we saw how strong his ability really is, did you forgot how he used gum and pulled of the heads of the puppets, that means he could rip people apart with it. Its a fairly destructive abilty far more than it seemed to be.
Chrollo really chose the right way to fight him with hiding and sending the puppet army after him.

You can use abilities further outside your type, you just won't be good at them. He used manipulation to make the statue move, but as noted he was moving his own arms as well to do it, which is probably a condition he placed on it to make the control a little better. If he was a better manipulator it would probably be able to move on its own.
As a similar example, remember that tiger fist guy who Hisoka fought? Hisoka says he's an enhancer, yet was stupid for using conjuration to make a clone and manipulation to control it as those are far away from enhancer abilities. He could still create and control the clone despite being an enhancer though.
There aren't still people deluded enough to believe Hisoka is winning this, right?

And if he does that, then they become almost useless aside from the them possibly having Sun seals on them. Which this second wave of puppets may not have given the sheer amount of them.
