I often have it that I suddenly completely lose concentration and think about why the fuck it's not over yet and when I check the time it's always around 20 mins and I notice that it's just a longer episode. Same happens with movies.

OWG is a really great movie. Digimon Adventure, the first movie, was also a strong stand alone movie. Literally everything in Summer Wars is just OWG but super watered down, and nowhere near as tense or interesting.
Summer Wars really is just OWG with no pacing and poorly executed.

No. OWG covers what little you need to know pretty quickly and briefly. The Chosen Children finished their adventure saving the Digital World and about a year later they hear from their partners for the first time to destroy a particularly hazardous Digimon that wound up in the human internet. Stop it before it causes irreparable damage.
If anything watch the first Adventure movie if you want and truly feel how [bolero intensifies].

It's a big old family, have you never watched Sazae-san or the Yamadas? That's how those casts work.
MC being really good with math was fine. It would've been shit if Natsuki, who does literally nothing for 80% of the movie and is only there as MC's love interest, had finished off the AI with cards because everyone in the family could do that.
