This is not any form of rational logical argument.
Simply because she could be plausibly lying about having encountered him, doesn't mean it's obvious she did.
The only potentially fishy thing here is the black leg mistake, which is easily explained by her naive characterization and Sanji wearing pants.
It's much more likely that she IS just a naive beautiful princess, which Oda seems perfectly content with creating time and time again.
On top this, it orients the story more around Sanji and his emotional and personal sacrifice for the crew, if she actually is a nice beautiful person who wants to marry him, rather than Luffy and improvised crew finding out her true nature.
