Eriri scold Tomoya, but she criticized herself for getting stuck and working too hard from pushing herself. That was what needed to be dealt with in her development arc. Admitting and eventually apologizing was the result of their time spent together, and that allowed them up make it. All in all, collapsing and coming over all served a purpose.
