His uniform is also unique, which makes little sense since it doesn't seem to denote differing rank, status or nationality. Since anime character with buzzcut or quiff don't receive that much attention, let's put them aside again. The one with afro eithee iconic or meme character.
Ponytail have their own variation, short or long, straight or wavy hair, etc. What about hime cut? If the hair is wavy, it's not hime cut. If the hair is short, 90% of the time it's more recognized as bob cut. If you talk about hime cut, you don't talk about variation, other than put it into ponytail or throw a hair clip and call it a day.
Hime cut has the stupidest principle of hairstyle: hard to do the maintenance, zero effort in making variation.
