Theoretically, it would work but realistically it probably wouldn't. This is exactly how generators work, but the implementation here isn't gonna work.
I wouldn't expect the water vapor to remain at the temperature all the way through the generator, and would probably phase shift back into water before it got there. And even if it did, I don't think the wood would provide the energy necessary to power a small appliance.
tl;dr plausible, but unlikely.
Still though, stuff like this is pretty cool because you realize that simply generating electricity isn't all that complicated, it's using it, storing it, and all that jazz that makes it complicated.

Would a condenser pump really be necessary? Is it not possible to incorporate some passive drainage system (buoyant steam vs. non-buoyant liquid), or make the rotor small enough so as not to allow the steam to condense before leaving the system?
