It's probably the best adaptation so far. Of course there's QUALITY every so often but it's not bad at all. Part 6 has always been pretty divisive but the second half is generally considered way better than the first half, it's also the most flat out insane section of possibly any shonen manga ever. And Part 7 is one of the best Parts, it switches to monthly after 23 chapters and it has the best art and writing by far. The second half is probably the best the series has ever been. Part 8 is going strong as well, if Araki finishes it well then it will probably turn out even better than Part 7.
You need to finish Part 6 though, the beginning is meh and the middle drags on a bit longer than it needed to but the second half is generally considered worth it.

Part 4 is set entirely in one town, but it's handled very well and doesn't feel confined or anything like that. You still get to see different parts of the town and meet new characters (in 4, not everyone they fight ends up being an enemy) so it actually doesn't feel that different despite the main conflict being way lower stakes than prior parts. Even if you don't end up liking it, Part 5 has the main group travelling across Italy and the second half of Part 6 is a prison breakout and trying to make it to Cape Canaveral. Part 7 is a reboot but it's main plot point is literally that it's a race across the entire United States. So you have plenty to look forward to.

Continuously attacks and acts of its own accord, even without your command. Often times won't kill you if destroyed. (Sheer Heart Attack, Notorious BIG, etc.
>Bound Stand
Attatched to an object and controlled by your will. No detriment to it being destroyed. (Love Deluxe, Surface, etc.)
>Swarm
Several small stands all belonging to one user. One or two being destroyed isn't fatal.
(Harvest, Bad Company, Sex Pistols)
>Mundane Stands
An ability that isn't geared towards actual combat, but is helpful nonetheless (Tohth, Moody Blues, Pearl Jam, Burning down the house, etc)
>Multi-Act stand
Starts off with a basic, usually weak ability that, through maturity and understanding evolves becoming more powerful, with the benefit of being able to use the individual abilities of every "act" as you wish.
