I always wondered when Shoko started to fall in love with Shoya, I don't know if it was when they were kids or not.
I wonder if Shoko knew Shoya was gonna kill himself after he said sorry to her.
I'm super excited, last volume came out recently so I finally finished reading the manga. Really enjoyed it. I think the two scenes I most want animated are 1. after the fall, Shouko climbs back up on the balcony and she leaves the building all in first person and 2. in volume six the chapter done from her perspective where all the dialogue is muted.
The movie certainly won't be by-the-panel in any way and there'll certainly be changes, but I imagine the core story will stay the same. I love what I've seen of it so far, the character designs are perfect and the art style is stunning. I've watched the damn trailer over a hundred times now, this movie is the #1 thing I'm excited for right now.

I own the first two English volumes and I can't get over the translators using first names for all the characters when the Japanese version almost exclusively used their last names.

The only character with both a known first name and last name that was consistently called by their first name was Yuzuru, but everyone else referred to each other by their last names (with the exceptions of family members and Ueno's friends calling her Nao-chan).
