All Star Battle is fun to play with friends, even if they know nothing about the series.
Eyes of Heaven is a 3D arena fighter, no local co-op, not as good as the other fighting games.
I haven't played any of the other 3D games.

It had its moments, but as a full package it fell flat. The shit stands got all the screentime and the good ones were in the background. For instance, between Lang Rangler and Heavy Weather, Weather Report has little to no involvement in the plot besides briefly popping in after LR to make it rain frogs. Meanwhile, Foo Fighters is almost always present up until her death but she never uses FF to do much other than healslut and turn her hand into a gun.
On top of that, the characters don't really hit right for me. FF, a bunch of fucking plankton, has more character than 90% of the cast. Jolyne is essentially a less buff but similarly goofy faced Johnathan. Hate Giorno all you want, but at least he had a fucking purpose and ideals. Jolyne spends the whole part either angsty about her dad or being a blank slate of badass nobility. Emporio is my favorite character from the part just because he brings something different to the table.
The plot, too, feels half-assed. Even Stardust Crusaders, the most stand-of-the-weeky of the parts, at least segways its plot events in a fulfilling way. In Stone Ocean, Jolyne beats Miu Miu and the very next fucking thing you know the whole gang is driving down the road ready for their next encounter. Despite having (generally) better stands than SC, SO makes a point to hop battle to battle save for chapters that serve only to help explain what the FUCK is going on.
And that's probably the worst part; the 2nd half of the part jumps so many sharks that it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Sky High would be absurd in any part of Jojo, but among the last 5 fights of SO it's the most tame of all. Jotaro writes on his arm in blood and it magics its way to Jolyne's. Weather Report unlocks his memories and turns everyone to snails via subliminal light messages. The whole thing is fucking unhinged, and while this may appeal to some people it turns me off.
tldr Stone Ocean isn't a bad part but of the "middle 3" it's the weakest.

I'd say part 6 does have it's flaws, like a lot of the Jojo parts but it's definitely above 1, 2 and 3. I think it's mostly because when it was good, it was fucking amazing.
The unhingedness of the 2nd half was so fucking bizarre, it's easily the first thing I point to when people ask "What makes Jojo's Bizarre Adventure 'Bizarre'?" Bohemian Rhapsody and Underworld were really unique fights, and the whole race to get to Cape Canaveral and onwards was really well-done.
I guess I liked Pucci the most out of the whole thing though, he sticks out to me as the villain in the series who actively does the most against the protagonist. He shows up early and gets almost as much screen time as some of the protagonists, his active race and resistance against Jolyne and crew was entertaining to watch as well as how fate was on his side. It made the part interesting because from parts 1-5 you KNEW the Joestars would win because fate was always on their side, so when the tables are turned in part 6 and Jolyne and crew have to actively catch up to Pucci it was a really good subvert of what the other parts were about.

So far they've done a good job allocating budget. They even made The Lock look great without putting in a huge amount of detail. Only episode I'd say looks less than good compared to the rest was Surface, but even then I'd rather they spend less money on Surface than they would on one of Kira's episodes any day.

It's part 5 though and the nips ADORE part 5. It's gonna get animated, and it should be really. It's a perfectly fine book that wraps off Fugo REALLY well, has great characters, interesting stands and also references the stone mask.
