There's a trend to fake enjoy things with abhorrent ugly art style, like this.
Other examples include the "Kaji style", present on it and also on useless stuff like Gin to Kin, Terraformars, Baki (who looks more like Freeza), and so on.
It's good at setting up cliffhangers and moments of excitement.

I just don't understand why the show need so many flashbacks, they even have flashbacks from things that you just watched 5 minutes ago in the same episode, half of the show are flashbacks. Without to mention that everything is a cliche after another, I really don't understand why people like it "so much", but well, I guess that the characters are "interesting" and you just want to keep watching, but if I had to make a top including this show I would need to make a top 10000 and even then it might not make it in.

The anime is mediocre, not terrible, but mediocre.
Too much flashbacks from scenes of the previous episodes, too much effort into not animating things and too stalled in general. Which would be perfectly valid for a long running series, but for a 13 episode series is bullshit.
