I have a question about Junko actually. One of the things that I never understood is why shelets Madoka go in Episode 11. She seems to know that Madoka is hiding something from her but she still let her go out of the shelter when it was clearly a disaster hitting the city. How did she possibly think that her daughter was going to be okay?
One theory I've had in my head was that maybe Junko met Kyubey when she was a girl, but turned down the contract, and as she got older convinced herself that it never happened? And now that she sees what's going on she thinks maybe, just maybe, Kyubey was real after all, and maybe her daughter is a Mahou Shoujo?

The way most people here use it makes it mean more like "unlikely" rather than, you know, "you'd have to be on crack to support this". Like Homura and Kyouko, they could work, I think. They've both had to deal with hardship, so they'd probably be able to bond there.
Homura and Sayaka is more on the actual "crack" side, I think, but it's just one of those ideas I like to toy with, especially given Homura's origin story. Her fascination with Madoka began after she and Mami saved her from a witch, and this meeting was only reinforced by their introduction while taking her to the nurse's office. What if those shoes were filled by someone other than Madoka? What if Sayaka had been the class officerforgot what the "position" Madoka had is called, rather than Madoka? What if she had saved Homura instead? Homura as an individual is defined by her unbendable determination to save Madoka, but if she were to have fallen for someone else, would she have evolved any differently? If so, by how much? Using Sayaka as an example, would she have perhaps adopted a similar, albeit likely more cold and ruthless, code of "justice" to Sayaka's? Would she have still betrayed her if a kind of "Rebellion" was reached? Would the world have still been rewritten?
These questions are why I like the ship, I like wondering how differently Homura would have evolved if she fell in love with someone else, considering how heavily her character is determined by that.

I doubt Mami will become an actual god. You're right, her approaching the sitiation as a tactician would be much better than her becoming as strong as Madokami and Homucifer.
