Sword Art Online had an implied sex scene in it's first volume, and it's been one of the most successful series in the past few years. The Fate/Stay Night franchise is ridiculously successful and pretty much all the main girls get fucked by Shirou in one route or another.
That's just a couple of examples. The whole pure waifu thing is overblown. Even among purityfags, most don't have a problem with the girl doing things with the main character/her love interest. You only start running into problems when you have them doing things with characters other than that, either as part of their back story, or in the course of the story. Even if all of the purityfags had a problem with the girls banging the main character when he's their love interest, they'd still be too small a percentage to worry about. You'd be more likely to lose a noticeable number of readers from shippers who's ship lost than from purityfags.
