So, here's the take away from what I've been able to find out on the whole ExE and Wani situation.
About 80% of Wani's artist catalog are jumping shit to other magazines due to failing relationships between themselves and Wani. Wani staff seem largely focused on Western expansion and a lot of artists are getting shafted because Wani cares more, at this point, about pushing their back catalog to Fakku, since they're making a fat chunk off of each $20 book.
Wani has done very little to entice artists to stay, and censorship in the magazine is worse than originally specified. Artists like Ishikei and Distance have stated the overzealous art censorship was too much for them. I know for a fact that Aoi Nagisa ended their run on a sour note, and tweeted a while back about it. Their Lillian series was supposed to be a full run of about eight chapters, but Wani only wanted them to do colored illustrations, but at the rate they pay black and white chapters. (Color pages cost more and typically are reserved for new artists, or cover/inserts of popular artists in order to push more sales.)
tl;dr Wani wants more foreign money because Fakku charges an absurd rate for books, and people are buying them. Publishing back catalogs is easier and cheaper, but in turn pissed off most artists because there's no communication between artist and editors, along with extreme censorship.
Also, supposedly Royal Koyanagi got blacklisted from Wani for content in one of their one-shots? Not really sure what the deal is there, but Japanese twitter was talking about it.
