Yeah the /wsg/ threads are pretty good. I'd say it's fairly /a/ related since anime is pretty heavy used in the aesthetic. There are better boards for it for sure but I could say the same about any 10 threads currently up right now.

/mu/ has been raided by /tv/, /v/, and /pol/ for so long that the board barely resembles itself , but the constant share threads are great for finding new tunes
If you know the genre you want to listen to, rateyourmusic is also amazing for finding new stuff.
there's also last.fm but its recommendations are based on the amount of people who listen to any given two artists rather than similarity so it may be iffy
btw vaporwave isn't dead there's still some cool stuff coming out you just gotta dig through trash to get to it.
