If the How is added as well, then the user can make the target believe a "truth" (like say making Alessi believe he doesn't have a Stand at all) until the user is defeated/incapacitated/wearing off over time.
If any of the information was wrong (Alessi was going to do it later at night, he wasn't going to use his Stand), then the ability will fail completely.
The idea is that it would be a stand that would be almost useless in an active fight (at least against someone that doesn't waste their time, like say N'Doul), so the user has to user their intelligence to gather information before confronting the enemy

[Cleansing Wave] Seems to think something is fishy realizing that no one they where with seems to remember each other now. And as she finally puts it together that it's an enemy stand after cracking one of her allies out of it, the mask slips over her. The next part she eventually comes to terms that she has a stand and learns to reuse it with the help of her freed ally, breaking [The Stranger]'s power. Using the confusion, [The Stranger] inserts himself into the group as another traveler that had always been there with them.

[System Blower] is going on a terror in a convenience store by simply pushing a shopping cart into a candy counter, causing a tidal wave of sweets. After encountering [Maybe] as he sucks on a lolly pop the two get into a philosophical discussion about each others powers and challenge each other. [Maybe] backfires, causing [System Blower]'s ability to work in reverse before finally reversing the effect and causing everything it touches to simply cease to be. [System Blower], fearing for his own safety as a swarm of bouncy balls rushes towards him, calls off his stand. Although they weren't really fighting, [Maybe] takes the "win" here.
