I've heard that part 5 isn't canon and doesn't have any affect the main story. Is part 5 skippable?
>The main story
No that's retarded and by that logic you should also just stop reading after Dio dies in part 3 and just pretend nothing else ever happened because it no longer relates to the "main story"
There literally is no main story

Literally every part of this post is wrong.
>>142115935
>part 5 isn't canon
OP's logic: a story made by the creator of the series is not canon
>main story
What
Are there any good translations for part 5?
It's okay to temporarily skip 5, but not because it's "not canon". You skip it because there is no decent translation of it.

This is actually partially true, just read part 1-4, skip the rest, it's for gaybois.
>>142115935
>isn't canon
>main story
>skipping parts
Where the fuck do all these idiots keep coming from? /v/? /co/? Someone tell me so I know who's asses to kick.
>part 5 isn't canon

>I've heard that part 5 isn't canon
Where did you heard that? Part 5 is canon
Also
>Jojo
>Having a main story
the only canon parts are 1, 3, and 6

Read JoJos Colored Adventure up until it ends.
Then you have to just read the bad one.

Part 7 is a masterwork of fiction, on par with The Aeneid and Paradise Lost.

I skipped part 5 because no coloured manga. Right now available fully coloured versions are of part 1,3,4, and 6
>>142118418
This is a coherent sequence.
>>142117295
>>142119356
So you don't have to know the events of part 5 to get part 6?
>>142119655
No, but Part 5 builds on the universe, you still should read it and not skip parts.
>>142119655
All you need to get to Part 6 is the fact that Jotaro killed Dio.

In Part 6 Jolyne gets scratched by a piece the arrow and that's how she acquires her Stand. It's never explained what that is, but in Part 5 they go into in detail about the origins of the arrow.
