Not to mention the choice of clothing Kubo drew Ichigo in and that Rukia's panel was not darkened compared to the other examples. It's also interesting to mention that despite there being obvious moments Ichigo could have chosen that included Rukia, when he thought of her it wasn't a previous memory. Apologizing to Rangiku and showing their relationship is what I mean when I said, she was used to show he wasn't genuinely evil. If you remember that scene you should also remember when Aizen was attacking Rukia and Renji Gin who was keeping watch let Ichigo through, then gave Aizen an excuse as to why. I think Gin most definitely loved Rangiku and her him but I don't think revenge for her was really the reason why he started his quest to kill Aizen.

Except he likely couldn't do anything against those men as he was unarmed and out numbered by them so instead he followed them and found out Aizen was their leader and thus at fault for what happened to Rangiku.
Also Gin very nearly killed post-chrysallis Aizen and the only reason it ultimately failed was because the hogyoku bonded with Aizen and would regenerate and grant him greater power. So the fact that Aizen was more powerful is irrelevent and if all he wanted was to kill Aizen then he should have done so as soon as he obtained his bankai.
Furthermore if Gin didn't do it for Rangiku then why would he need involve himself at all? Gin doesn't really care for anything except Rangiku so why would he care one way or the other when it came to Aizen's goals? Aizen had never done anything to Gin himself to make him want to kill.
