There were harem elements for a few episodes in the first season, but the overwhelming majority of the show's content has been shounen-esque. I can't recall a single moment in the second season (so far) that has had harem elements.
Mio beat all the fall season battle harems in 2015. It's nice to see Claire picking up the fight in 2016.
Can't believe asterisk fans are trying to say it's not a battle harem anymore.

I'll be honest, I didnt watch any of that. I usually just flat out skip battle harems unless they really catch my eye with characters, or an interesting(to me) premise.
I only watched any of Asterisk because I was following it and Chivalry the same season, and I was utterly surprised how two shows can be so nearly identical, and yet one can be so, so, so much worse than the other in execution.
For the record, Hundred survived until that fucking grope at the beginning of the battle in the 2'nd ep.
