Back in 2010-2011 they had Vampire Bund, Arakawa under the Bridge and SoreMachi when they were at their prime, with 14 volumes each and SoreMachi still ongoing, arguably a better lineup than now yet they ruined all three. I like SHAFT but don't go hoping in the bandwaggon just yet.

I read like 30 chapters before dropping it but I don't remember any comedy. There was plenty of MC introspecting, monologuing and self pitying, though, and also a lot of crying. The only comfy moments of the manga all came from interactions the very panels with the girls, but they weren't comedic.
