Totally agree, I think it's a far better way to get the weird esoteric introspection episodes before you can snap back to the EoE and get what "really happened"
I liked ep 25-26 more than EoE since they actually gave some closure to Shinji's arc
EoE looked cooler because of all the crazy bullshit happening and the big robt fights but it manages to be even more inconclusive
Obviously we're gonna find out rebuild is some kind of "sequel" and 4.44 is gonna clear up some plot points and look awesome while creating a ton of new ones and leaving them hanging
