Because This one has exiting figths, supernatural powers, suspense between the figths, comedy, and spiritual powers, and not much romance. The story is excelent, it's not cliche, and we alredy love the reigan, and the kokuriuja. I'm actually watching this now and the show annoys me a little, I like the characters and the fights but the convenience bullshit is turned up to 11. I know a lot of shows do it, but it feels a little lame when the only thing that allowed Yuusuke to win against Rando was pond scum that he got in his ears. Or the fact that Kuwabara wasn't actually killed and the whole tournament was basically an elaborate suicide for Toguro.

Toguro wasn't portrayed as a bad guy. He even felt sorry in the previous arc when he was torturering hei's sister he even said this. He just think strength is all that matter so he would do whatever it took to bring out yusakes full power. There was no reason to kill kuwabara Toguro had nothing to gain from it as long as yusake belived it. It probably helped Kuwbara ran head first like a man.
