/a/ will never have a good verdict on this because it was both hugely loved and hated while it aired.
Think Watamote-type crossboard appeal, Lucky Star absolutely was that. Konata was /co/'s daughter for a while, /v/'s game of pretend etc.
I thought it was a fucking great show though, really still one of the very best moe sol/comedies (up there in rarified air with Azumanga, Hidamari, Yuriyuri etc).

Good group dynamic, the dialogue feels so smooth and natural that can you listen to the manzai routine all day. Shiraishi EDs and Lucky Channel.
The references are a bonus too.

Great news, as TTGL is a solid 8.
LS was amazing, but a terrible entry level show (not that this is a bad thing). So, I can understand why some post-2010 Anons may not like it, since it has too many references for old anime (not the biggest issue, since many were well-know classics) and for anime airing at the time (this being the biggest issue).
That being said, LS could easily be made if they referenced anime from the past 5-6 years.
I'm actually surprised KyoAni hasn't made more of it, but I suppose it might have something to do with the preferring to focus on their own stuff these days.
