I don't think there's enough of a point. If you skip the filler episodes, DM is pretty good as an adaptation until they go into the pharaoh's memories. So the only content you could say needs a retread is the beginning, before card games were introduced, and the very last arc. I suppose that stuff would deserve some OVA series, if OVAs were still a thing that were made.
