Is just that I still see them as plain villains under the order of a greater evil, despise how much "depth" the author tries to give them. Is just added flavor that doesn't change the bottom line of "I'm fucked up" that's pretty common in anime villains.

There are huge problems with Re: Zero. You cannot identify any of them because you have not read it. Foreshadowing, plotting, characterization-- all of that is actually done amazingly well. The narrative is cohesive. It makes sense. You would know if you read it.
The actual use of the Japanese language is horrid. There is also some blatant borrowing from other series (Umineko in particular. A witch named Beatrice. A wealthy owner of a mansion who wants to resurrect his lost love. Two servants with names that are variations of each other. Etc.) There is also too many useless scenes. But everything you mention as a flaw is retarded. The spoiler summary does not explain it well enough.
You assume that because you do not understand something that it is not understandable. That is entirely wrong. Having a core mystery and revealing the answer later is good writing. You treat intentionally constructed mysteries as if they are accidents. You suck.

Well, if you insist, using the DSM-IV Subaru fails the criteria for both major depressive disorder and for isolated depressive episodes, mainly because the symptoms he's demonstrated haven't lasted long enough to constitute major depressive disorder and can also be explained by normal bereavement reaction (insofar as the death of himself can be considered bereavement).
If symptoms had existed since before episode 1 and he's just pretending, surely when in private he would be shown to be fatigued from the effort of keeping it up and drawn towards simply lying in bed and not doing anything because it's too much effort to do anything? There is literally nothing to suggest he's pretending, so if that gets revealed later it will come across as an asspull.
