Kumo has been a pretty good read overall.
The Vampire and Oni side stories took a long ass time for me to start enjoying them. I just kept wanting Shiro to show up and give some form of entertainment. But then when they finally hit the point of entertainment- HIATUS
It really felt like a lot of this stuff was planned out pretty well, but I just can't understand the Authors decisions sometimes. Maybe the translators weren't able to convey it well enough? But the whole attacking the system from the outside stuff was out of nowhere. The fact Kumo had a 'link' to the four (?) great spiders and the demon queen since birth but never really mentioned it.
It just felt like the author purposefully withheld any information relating to it and then infodumped immediately to be like 'see perfectly planned out'.
