Looks like Damo gouged out part of his liver like he did to Kira. Now, let's say Bob 1 bumps into Iron Maiden's user and accidentally spills some ice cream on the user's shoe. The user gets irritated and activates Iron Maiden's ability. 10 seconds pass, and Bob 1 finds himself back on the street again, but looks down to see bleeding bullet wounds that had mysteriously appeared on his chest. Bob 1 then falls to the ground dead, no longer able to enjoy his ice cream.
In terms of a DVR function, think of this ability like recording over a movie by accident with another movie.

It's alright but nothing special outside of turning some shonen tropes on their heads. Joseph is the only thing carrying it, replace the protagonist and it becomes as generic as they come. Animeonly friends haven't gotten to the good shit and Stardust Crusaders left a bad taste in their mouth, which when you couple it with Battle Tendency's anime blowing the manga out of the water, makes it seem a lot better than it really is. It's not bad by any means though, but if it had been any longer it would really have outstayed it's welcome.

The Japs love Diavolo and Kars though. And we don't know exactly what Jobin's goal is. He definitely wants to cure his son but I think there's a LOT more to it.
