I'm on the second episode of Aria: The Natural and it's been wonderful so far. I can only hope the rest of the series is just as good.

It just makes the world of new venice a bit more mysterious. A lot of the episodes that verged on the more supernatural side of things were like that. I for one was into it. It put a little spice in the broth.

Origination is even better.
Animation is like a 7/10 until the last few episodes that make it an 8/10.
Natural is a solid 9/10 and nice exploration of Neo Venezia.

As an Italian who goes to Venice every year I can tell you that people there kinda hate tourists. Also, the gondoliers are rude, arrogant, scammers and not cute in the least, the few female gondoliers look like trannies. I wish there could be a school with cute 15 year olds practicing around the city.

What is your favorite episode? My favorite episode is the Traghetto one, it was very nice to be introduced to some other characters and see how much Akari had grown in comparison to the average undine.

Anyways, I just finished downloading the BD rip of Animation by ReinForce and gotta say, this version is the only one that actually looks a lot better than the DVD rips. I hope they'll rip all three seasons.

I never got living at a tourist destination and getting pissed about tourists. I love talking to the tourists who come to my area, even if they ask stupid questions, because at least I left them more informed and less likely to have money wasted picking their corpse out from a rip tide.

I watched the first episode of this and wasn't really feeling it, given all the hype it gets here I sort of want someone here to persuade me to keep going with it and that I was watching it incorrectly somehow or that it gets signifcantly better in later episodes or something along those lines.
I watched Barakamon a while back and enjoyed it a lot, then I tried Non Non Biyori S1&2 and fucking loved that. For both of those series I was pretty much sold from the first episode. I went for Aria next and it just doesn't seem as "comfy" to me as those two. As opposed to getting that sort of atmosphere across mainly through the setting and the actions of the cast like in NNB & Barakamon, here I'm getting it mainly through the characters telling me that it's comfy through expository dialogue. Also the President Aria mascot animal thing is annoying as hell. I do think that the setting, character designs, and the OP/ED were quite nice but that's it.

Let's say you go to a tourist location and cross the street at the wrong time and get yelled at by a driving local. You learn your faux-pas and never do it again. From your perspective it only happened once and it's no big deal, from their perspective this happens all the time and it's infuriating.

Most cats/Cait Sith episodes are creepy as hell. Mirage cafe or carnival to name a few. And it does in fact make Aria even better.
