I really love how Breaker magic works. It's amazing how Nanoha seems to be the first person to have come up with the concept of collecting residual magic like this.
>>141510426
The one thing I did like about Strikers is that you really get to see how nanoha is actually a giant outlier for mages.
Its one thing to just say "she's a genius!", its another to actually have other fleshed out characters who interact with her like they do.
>>141510426
From the sound of it, I think she wasn't the first one to do it but it is still a top tier magic that is normally taught and impossible to achieve for average mages.
Nanoha came with the idea herself and achieved it in a couple of days, the girl is simply insane when it comes to fighting.

I'm still of a mind that the following happened:
* They posed for pics as models for wedding dresses as kids, because the artist that made them thought they would look cute. (this image)
* they got married on Midchildia (official one with Fate in tux instead of dress)
* They then came to Earth to visit Nanoha's family after the fact, and THEY demanded a wedding (the image of them as adults listed here >>141513553 where the artist made the dresses for them again)
* any others, are for them modelling them for said artist or a friend on midchildia to help bolster sales. (any other dresses they might wear relating to wedding attire)
This being said: I want to see them as "traditional Japanese marriage)" (kimonos, etc in one of these pics.
>>141514111
>any others, are for them modelling them for said artist or a friend on midchildia
Or they can just be renewing their vows.
>This being said: I want to see them as "traditional Japanese marriage)" (kimonos, etc in one of these pics.
That's true, after so much official art is surprising they haven't done this one yet, I think it hasn't been done in fanart either. Seems Japan prefers their yuri weddings in dresses.

>>141534637
Yukarin had a mental breakdown after having to do Cross Ange and split up with King Records. Now King Records hates Yukarin and Nanoha is dead because they'd rather have the franchise die than let Yukarin be in a leading role in one of their products.
>>141533920

>>141533988

>Now King Records hates Yukarin and Nanoha is dead because they'd rather have the franchise die than let Yukarin be in a leading role in one of their products.
Man Japanese politics is fucked.
>>141534722
So King Records owns Nanoha? Or does King Records own Yukarin?
>>141534749
>They better put a fucking kiss in the movie for making us wait for so damn long.
That wouldn't have much of an impact if at the current end of the timeline they're already married with one child. If the movie is being made and still takes place between A's and StrikerS at least show us their wedding, they made a lot of illustrations already, but we still need to see them animated, maybe flying in wedding dresses while fighting some terrorist group that happened to be near the area when the ceremony was taking place.
>>141535061
King Records was the main source of money behind Nanoha because they were using it to push their products (Nana and Yukarin). They don't own it but if no one is paying to have it done it won't get made.
>>141534722
Nanoha can easily work without King Records, it makes enough money on it's own and Aniplex is involved with the franchise.
Besides, even if they hated Yukarin, ignoring all the Nana money is retarded.
Also, I don't know where do you get your information from, but as far as I know Yukarin wasn't affiliated with King Records back when Nanoha was made.
>>141535507
My sources are Top Men in the Japanese idol industry. I cannot reveal them or else we will all be Yakuza'd.
>>141535065
>wedding
Now, let's not get greedy. An onscreen kiss between the two would already be huge. Furthermore, right after A they weren't sleeping together yet, so it'd be the perfect moment to include it.
What kind of spinoff would you make to save Nanoha?
More SoL? Action? Explain.

I'd like a spin-off done completely different. Focus on some other character for a while with no link to the TSAB or so far away that their presence is minimal.
I'd like the story of a Raptor unit operator, or at least some more exposition as to what they actually are and how effective they may be.

>>141541275
Shit, they bought StrikerS. Retelling movies did well. Imagine if they made something new that was good.
And Nanoha got no excuse. Like a half-dozen magical girl series following its formula in its wake and none of them suffer the same enormous variety of issues as Nanoha, even Symphogear or Strike Witches which have almost as many animated productions.

Spinoffs are the reason we're in this tomb to begin with. Just fuck off.
>>141549746
>Spinoffs are the reason we're in this tomb to begin with.
I disagree, we're here because the spinoffs made weren't very good or tried anything new.
The concept of a spinoff isn't the problem.
>>141549746
I would think we're in this tomb more because no one can think of new content to make. Even when ViviD was in full-swing, Nanoha threads were active. Now that it's all died down, of course the fanbase died down with it.
Right now, Nanoha needs something which is consistent. At least something to make people think about it more than once every ten months.
>>141549922
Pretty much everything since StrikerS has doubled down on the cast bloat, and everything since A's has really lost the core concept that it's Nanoha beamspamming the shit out of things that made the original work (hence the only two scenes from StrikerS that get cited with any frequency).
>>141549922
Well witht he yuri stuff they screwed themselfs over. Too much nanofate pandering and other lesbians. Everyones in a yay happy relationship that has no conflicts.
When there's no internal problems the external stuff is easy to handle.
>>141550543
The first season falls apart completely if you don't look at it as a lesbian love story with some mahou shoujo trappings. As an action/adventure story it doesn't work because it lacks a proper climax (the Big Bad just falls over dead on her own) and has multiple episodes with no action at all, and what else is there? School drama? Pfft, it's not drama when everybody is best friends with everybody.
Basically, it's all about Nanoha trying to hit on Fate, and finally succeeding when she was at her most aggressive (proving once again that rape is love).
Actually, Nanoha succeeded by finally getting Precia to go all uber-bitch and denounce Fate's existence as a worthless hunk of tube-grown flesh and then gave her the metaphorical hug of a life time.
>>141550427
I think Nanoha just doesn't have very strong "theme presence," if you will, in each episode. All the really important stuff tends to be concentrated into single episodes or scenes, and generally it just floats in a sea of cute girls doing cute things.
Nanoha's main theme is the personality of Nanoha herself - using your bad emotions as fuel to fight through them, for the good and right, no matter what. This is, of course, the spirit of true heroism.
The major secondary theme is acceptance, which is covered pretty solidly with the relationship between various mothers, daughters, and friends, and best done in the A's TV.
Strikers muddied the waters with too many characters to effectively explore. For example, Erio and Caro essentially already had their character development offscreen. They get like two scenes where anything substantive actually happens in their lives.
There are some other side themes/plots in Strikers that I really like: Acceptance for nonhumans (Subaru+Mach Caliber, Agito, Vivio); being normal in a crowd of abnormals (Teana); the shady politics of Mid-Childia (although in the show it was just boring bureacratic interference); passing on the good while trying to avoid the mistakes of your parents, that is, the whole motherhood thing.
A stronger dramatic focus would put this series right back on track. The duel between Corona and Einhart was as exciting as any of the other duels in the franchise, because Corona had something to prove.
>>141550904
>Corona and Einhart
We're getting into the "literally who?" of cast bloat there, with two post-StrikerS characters. In a Nanoha series, I just want her in the MC role, with support from Fate, plus maybe Hayate and the Wolkenritter for the final boss-fight.
>>141551063
