First of all, you have to define what a "positive role model" is because many people in /a/ have different values than what general society uses.
Second, most anime main characters are unapologetic repetitive lawbreakers. Should those be immediately removed from consideration? If not, then you are attesting that frequently breaking normal societal laws can be part of positive societal behavior.
Of the shows that do not have main characters frequently breaking the law, some of the main characters are hyper-violent and are also obnoxious people. Should those be removed from the remaining pool of MC? If not, then you attest that positive societal role models may be hyper-violent and obnoxious people. Thus, intolerance and discrimination may be allowed in your example of positive role models.
Loyalty, gratitude, and appreciation doesn't seem to be a positive role model for /a/ because many in /a/ give LOL to wasted or misplaced loyalty etcetera as it doesn't profit the MC or even gets the MC into trouble. While a significant but small minority of /a/ observes loyalty, abandonment is the high majority approach of /a/ based upon posts the past 3 years.

Sakura Kinomoto from Card Captor Sakura is possibly too perfect a person. She is constantly a conscientious person which is one feature many anime chars are not because their plots cannot spare the time to demonstrate that trait, or the production committee needs the char to use its time effectively in promoting merchandise sales.
Many people in the Detective Conan show have positive traits and within the limits of the show could be considered positive role models even though they are incomplete due to lack of episode time in presenting a complete character in all situations.
