I think the bitch makes a perfect antagonist, it really fucks up Bam's development though since he's experienced too much suffering due to it.
He's killed his way as a FUG, but isn't an edgelord but stuck on being a knight still. As long as he achieves power, he can enforce his approach to things as the right path, which is apparently stronger than a Thorn.
Next few chapters thinning out the field to create proper teams will be interesting.
