I am not saying that I watch stuff and judge whether I liked them or not based solely on the message conveyed. I am merely pointing that out because most people see the overall message of Tatami Galaxy as the thing that makes it stand out. I think the message was not that great and that the anime itself wasn't that great either.
It had nice characters, but I fucking hated Watashi's self-inhibitions (big reason why I disliked the other two shows). I know he realizes this, among other things at the end, but people do not change that easily and Akashi adds a sense of incredible fantasy to everything. And Watashi's ramblings got boring to listen to after a while.
