It certainly gets pushed awful hard for being as insanely generic as it is.
It does have a simple catharsis to it however.

But for some reason it's great every single time.

Nanatsu no Taizai doesn't run in Weekly Shonen Jump.
It runs in Weekly Shonen Magazine alongside series like Fairy Tail, Hajime no Ippo, UQ Holder, Fire Brigade of Flames, Yamada and the Seven Witches, Diamond no Ace, Kamisama no Iutohri Ni, and Vector Ball.
I legitimately despise Black Clover, but keep reading every week as it's pretty enjoyable to read ironically.
