I don't see how it could. I mean the main character is nigh immortal and pretty much has an instant kill by just touching him. I feel like it will work best as a relatively short manga focused more on the character and the situations surrounding him. Think Superman: it isn't interesting when he fights, you never wonder if he can actually win because of fucking course he can, he's invincible. It's the character work and situations surrounding him like "Can he actually save everyone? Can he devote his whole life to this? Can he live with himself if he lets someone die because he had to sleep/eat/shit?" that keep it relevant.
I think they're going to bring his sister back, say her regeneration works past death since they already said it was different. Cause some internal struggle with the MC. Maybe he accidentally kills some people by touching them. Gets revenge, hunts down the Winter Witch, redeems himself. Then again they've set up enough plot points that it will likely go down a more standard shounen route and that's upsetting.
