When I was trying to learn Japanese last year at some point, I found reading even simple stuff to be really difficult. Even simple sentences were totally throwing me off. It was really discouraging and my motivation to read anything quickly petered out until I de-facto gave up.
Even if I don't do the DoJG deck, I would have to re-read Tae Kim's guide to refresh my memory anyway, so it seemed like a worthwhile thing to do in order to prevent a similar outcome to last year's.

I have some trouble differentiating the condititionals.
I understand と and なら just fine I think, but I get 時 mixed up with たら and I don't really understand the uniqueness of ば.
How do you guys distinguish between them in your head?
I kind of think of ば as exclusionary and emphatic, たら as hypothetical, と as natural and なら as contextual.

I've been reading オレのラブコメヒロインは、パンツがはけない。 since yesterday and I'd like to reiterate it's the easiest LN I've ever read. This is probably the first piece of Japanese ""literature"" I've ever read and gotten pretty much 100% and can read entire pages without stopping. I mean sure I can make my with through a lot of novels guessing over certain words and misunderstanding some lines but nothing has been this easy to 100% and speed through like this. Definitely recommended for beginners wanting to read LNs, if weeb culture like this interests you of course.

There's no reason for the mods to keep a general that causes so much trouble yet doesn't contribute much at all in my opinion. And /djt/ has repeatedly shown that it is not willing to change for the better. For example having weekly or fortnightly threads would certainly work in reducing shitposts, but nobody seems to want to try it.
The only unique feature of this general among all the Japanese learning sites is probably the amount of intermediate to advanced learners we have to answer questions, but most of them have left for obvious reasons. After all who wants to waste their time and effort on answering a question clearly when it could be posted by a spammer or some autistic kid running an experiment?
At this point, dedicated learners who are looking to have their questions answered should turn to the koohii forums instead of this place.
